Mr. Kleinschmidt has 32 years of investment experience. He joined Tocqueville in 1991, where he manages portfolios for individual, family, and institutional accounts. In addition to his role as President and Chief Executive Officer of Tocqueville Asset Management, he is also the Portfolio Manager of The Tocqueville Fund, and Chief Investment Officer and Chairman of the Investment Committee. Earlier, he spent 13 years with David J. Greene & Co. where he held positions including: Analyst, Portfolio Manager, and Investment Committee member. He holds a BBA in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin, an MA in Economics from the University of Massachusetts, has completed his course work in a PhD program in Economics at Columbia University, and is a CFA charter holder.
