Commitment to Customer Privacy
The Tocqueville Trust is committed to handling consumer information responsibly. We recognize and respect the privacy expectations of each of our customers. We believe the confidentiality and protection of consumer information is one of our fundamental responsibilities.
Collection and Disclosure of Shareholder Information
Customer information collected by, or on behalf of the Trust generally comes from the following sources:
- Account applications, other required forms, correspondence, written or electronic, or telephone contacts with shareholders or consumers inquiring about the Trust;
- Transaction history of a shareholder's account; or
- Third parties.
We may disclose consumer information to third parties who are not affiliated with the Trust:
- as permitted by law, for example with service providers who maintain or service customer accounts for the Trust or to a shareholder's broker/dealer, or
- to perform marketing and/or mailing services on our behalf or pursuant to a joint agreement with another financial institution.
Security of Customer Information
We require service providers to the Trust:
- to maintain policies and procedures designed to assure only appropriate access to, and use of information about customers of the Trust; and
- to maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to guard non public personal information of customers of the Trust.
